A PU skirt is a skirt made from PU material.

PU (polyurethane) is a polymer compound containing NHCOO units in its molecular structure; these units are formed by the reaction of isocyanate and hydroxyl groups. In the home furnishing industry, it is commonly used for the upholstery of items such as living room sofas.

It has gained increasing market recognition, and its vast scope of application, volume, and variety meet needs that traditional natural leather cannot satisfy.

PU fabric is a synthetic material designed to mimic leather; it offers the texture of genuine leather, is highly durable, and is affordable. "PU leather" is a general term for this type of material-similar to PVC leather, bonded leather, or recycled leather. The manufacturing process is somewhat complex; because the base fabric has high tensile strength, the PU can either be coated onto the base or encapsulate it entirely, concealing the base fabric from view.

Characteristics of PU material

1. Excellent physical properties: it is resistant to bending and folding, soft, possesses high tensile strength, and offers good breathability. To create the texture, a patterned paper is heat-pressed onto the semi-finished leather surface; once cooled, the paper is peeled away, and the surface undergoes final processing.

It features high peel strength and water pressure resistance, making it an ideal material for the outer and inner layers of waterproof, breathable garments. 3.
